Are you ready to learn data entry skills to boost your career prospects? To more firmly position yourself on a high paying career track? Hi, I'm TJ Walker and this course is for you. If you're a complete beginner and you've never done anything with data entry skills, we'll teach you step by step. And if you want to go all the way to the advanced level, you will learn that as well right here in this course. And what you're really going to learn is speed, accuracy, precision. That's what helps get you to the upper echelons of the data entry profession. If you're ready to start learning marketable skills right now, then let's start together here. Let's start off with a quick win. Many people think that typing faster is about faster hand motion banging harder. No, it's about eliminating unnecessary hand and finger movement. You need to keep your hands and fingers on the home row and constantly look for minimizing movement. This alone can help you go 10, even 20 words per minute faster. The biggest mistake many people make when they're entering the data entry field is rushing and not checking. People think it's about not being a great typist. No, that's not it. It's about not checking your work periodically. I don't mean wait till the end of an hour or two hour or five hour shift. I mean every handful of seconds, look back and look at what you just entered. That's the best time to see if you made any mistakes. Again. The real secret? Minimizing the those mistakes by checking regularly, frequently. So yes, this course is going to cover all the basics for every beginner. But I do want you to start aiming for the long run. How do you really work your way up the career ladder in this field? And you've got to keep this in mind. Data entry skills. It's not just about who can type the fastest. No, it's about thinking. It's about looking at the project and asking yourself what's really going on here? What are people really trying to accomplish? How can you help someone accomplish their goal better? And that means by thinking about, how do you organize it better, how do you simplify it? How do you automate the steps of what you're doing? When you're constantly thinking about the data entry process, you'll get better, become more valuable. A part of becoming really good and efficient at data entry skills is unlearning bad habits. Now, I've been using a mouse for decades. I love my mouse. But if you want to be fast and efficient when it comes to data entry, you want to use your mouse as little as possible, you want to use shortcuts on your keyboard, it's going to be infinitely faster. We're about to start going deep into this process, but we need a mindset shift right at the beginning. Repeat after me. I am not a typist. You are not a typist. You're a problem solver. You're someone who can solve other people's problems. You can organize messy data. You can figure out where there are problems. You, you can follow instructions. You can initiate solutions. When you have that mindset, your career path is unlimited. If you want to get better and better at data entry skills, you need feedback. You need feedback from supervisors, you need feedback from colleagues. Occasionally, you have someone else check your work, you check theirs. You want feedback to figure out, are you on the right path? Did you miss anything? Is there something you could do to make it better? Well, that's a good philosophy to have in any career, and it's what we try to practice right here. We would love your feedback on this course. So in just a minute, you're going to complete this entire course. You will be asked to leave a review for this course. Please leave an honest review. Please let us know what was helpful, what needs to be changed. Do we need to take something out, edit something, revise something, put more of something in? So please let us know.
