Unlocking AI Learning: The Future of Online Clones

TJ Walker created a video-based AI clone of himself for his online course, arguing that video clones feel like a natural extension of online learning compared to text chatbots. He's looking to partner with GO Skills to distribute the course and clone.

The course on how to make a clone has a clone companion to go with it. Otherwise it would be a bit hypocritical for me not to have a clone for my own course on how to have a clone. So that's how I see it is taking something new, which the concept of a digital clone kind of blows some people's minds. Connecting it with something people already know, they're already aware of. Because people are used to online courses. They've been using GO skills courses for a decade. People have, I mean I've had online courses since 1998, which was way too early. Be glad you didn't start back then. I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. But it's something people are used to. So I find it's always easier to make someone understand something new by connecting it with something that they're already familiar with.
I love that, I love that you're always ahead of the curve, TJ and I absolutely think that that is the future. We are, we are in AI learning assistants and our aim is to get to where you are to get to have various clones for all of our courses that you can talk to, relate to, interact with in the future. It could even have different personalities that suit your learning style.
Well, have I got a course for you. If you want everyone at GO Skills to get up on this and you're going to be able to get it at absolutely no charge because I hope it's going to be on your platform, but it has been, has been sent to you. So help me with this because I see other, other people in the space, bigger players. They are video online platforms. They're starting to embrace AI, but they tend to start off with the text format, the chatbot. I personally find text chatbots very uninteresting. I mean my bank had that a decade ago. Doesn't seem very high tech or interactive. And video based online learning is about seeing an instructor, a real person, seeing, hearing their real voice. So to me the logical extension if you're going to use AI at the fullest is a video based interactive clone where it seems like you're talking to a real instructor. So I'm a bit mystified as to why others in the space want to start with the text, which in my mind is a 10 year old ago technology when the video is around. Because I'm no tech, I'm no tech genius, I don't know anything about technology. I just found a platform where all I had to do is type, click and upload and I'm able to make the, you know, the clone on another platform.
Yeah.
So I'm wondering, what other signals do you need from the marketplace to. To. To get the sense that people are trading or thinking about these clones seriously as a tool for learning and for coaching and for tutoring?
Yeah. The reason we're starting with the tech space is because it's just more of a proof of concept. Before we invest so much in the technology on our platform, we want to see if students like it, what questions they ask, and if our AI answers them truthfully, because that's still a little bit of a concern with hallucinations and giving correct answers. So that's the main reason we're starting small, but with the aim of going to video. Also, I think we don't just have one course. You know, we have over 100 courses on our platform to scale that we want to start and we want to go in steps, and the easiest is text. And I know it's old technology, or it seems like old technology because, you know, we've been talking to chatbots for a long time, but. But the underlying AI technology is not. And so we hope that you get better answers, you get relevant information and correct information. And once that's proven and we see that there is demand for that type of interaction, the next level is video.
