He recommends speaking to staff in person when possible or, at minimum, creating a short weekly video sharing both good and bad news, and emphasizes erring on the side of over-communication.

How can you use strong communication skills to build your corporate culture? The main thing is communicate with your employees on a regular basis. Don't just send emails or a memo saying here it is. Instead, talk to them, preferably in person, but at minimum, make a short, simple video once a week telling them what you're thinking about the good news, the bad news. Communicate. Err on the side of over communication.
