Hi, I'm Pamela Winslow Kashani. I'm here at BroadwayCon enjoying the ambiance and all the wonderful people that we've met today. But one of the most wonderful people that are here today is this young lady right in front of me. And Morgan is a composer, entrepreneur, producer, mastermind of the next generation. Today we're seeing so many fans and so many people who love Broadway and all this excitement about what we love. Have you been inspired by any people that you've met today?
One of the really cool moments that I had was at a booth over on yonder is Broadway Bookmarks, and they are a really cool company that makes these like hand-painted watercolor bookmarks. The main person there sent my entire cast over the summer hand-painted Oceanborn bookmarks, and that was just such a, like, such a cool thing because it was this fan online who loved our work, and so She like made this amazing handmade art for us and sent it to New York, and then I got to meet her today. And it's just, it's so cool seeing the community coming together that way.
What is the most fun thing that you've done at BroadwayCon today? We sang at the Broadway Star Project. I love singing.
Probably meeting Natalie Weiss.
That's a big one.
Very nice.
I'm here with Matt Werner, a friend of mine who I've met through Theater Accelerator. Matt has a show called Burning Man, which I'd love to hear more about.
Yeah, we're here at BroadwayCon and yeah, it's been terrific so far. We just had a reading on the West Coast last month and we're really excited to bring the show to audiences soon. And the show, it follows Sparkle Pony, who is a young hippie lovechild, and she goes to the Burning Man music festival to kind of find herself. And Burning Man the Musical kind of follows her journey while she's there.
Hey, we're here with two budding musical theater composers and writers. Would you please introduce yourselves?
Yeah, sure.
I'm Kyle Reid Hass.
And I'm Jeremy Swanton.
And you love Broadway.
We do.
Yes, we're fans.
And you're at BroadwayCon.
Yes. Yes. The place for fans.
What is exciting you about BroadwayCon today?
I'm so excited about the panels, honestly. I love hearing people talk about the industry or bringing their own experience to a room and trying to connect with them that way. People just are so creative in this field, and it's cool hearing different perspectives from mine and connecting with them in that way.
Right. I think for me, it's something that reinvigorates me as a writer every year to see so many people who love this thing so much gathered in one space, and I get to meet people and I get to plan meetings with people, and it just We're always so inspired after BroadwayCon.
It like makes us write or think about our year or think about what projects we want to do and stuff consistently every time we've gone.
