Today I'll be demonstrating a makeup look inspired by the Broadway musical Hadestown. For this look, I'm going to mimic Eurydice's smoky eye by using Natasha Denona's Metropolis palette. I used the color Queen all over my lid. This neutral is a great option when you're priming your lid. It has just enough shimmer without being overwhelmingly glittery. To start the smoky eye, I wet my eyeshadow brush and used the color Shield from the crease of my lid down to my lash line. I then went back into the palette and grabbed a darker gray, Noble, to further dramatize the eyelid. I layered the darker gray multiple times to achieve the level of smoke smoky eye that I wanted. One of my favorite things to add to a smoky eye is a dark smudge along the lower lash line. I used the color Noble with a smaller smudge brush to achieve this look. There's typically a fair amount of cleanup when dealing with colors this dark, so I always have a bit of concealer and a Beautyblender prepped to clean up my under-eye. I use my finger to add a little bit of the color Queen to highlight my inner eye. Of course, this Eurydice-inspired look needed a sharp winged liner along the top lash line. So before I added mascara, I lined my upper lid. For further punch, I decided to add a bold red lip to complete the look. And that's today's Hadestown-inspired Broadway beauty look.
