Leather Barrel Creek Ski Tour

Sebastian and a skier head up a T-bar toward Lover Barrel Creek on a bluebird day. Sebastian delivers a lyrical monologue about fear and impermanence while they prepare for the backcountry descent.
Alright, Seb and I are on T-Bar heading up to Carroll's and we're going to go out for a day of backcountry skiing towards Lover Barrel Creek and Twin Humps.
Should be sick.
Yeah, good weather, nice day. As you can see behind us here, bluebird everywhere. Looking forward to it.
Deeper down, it's everywhere I look. Homeless fixer right here under your dresser, right by your ear. It's creeping in sweetly, it's definitely here. There's nothing more deadly than slow-growing fear. Life was full and fruitful and you could take a real bite. The juice pouring well over your skin's delight. But the shallower it grows and takes the depth away, leaving broken down pieces to this priceless valley. The shallower it grows, the shallower it grows, the fainter we go into the fade-out light. The shallower it grows, the shallower it grows, the fainter we go into the deeper Will we build all those bridges to watch them thin down to dust? Or blow them voluntarily up, pumped and trussed? The clock is ticking its last couple of tocks, and there won't be a party with the weather in front. The shallower it grows, the shallower it grows, the fainter we go into the fade-out light. The shallower it grows, the shallower it grows, the fainter we go into the fade-out light. All right, time for the home run back into Threadbow from the southern end of the day out. You can see in the background, Twin Humps, Mother Bell Creek.
See you back at home.
Come on, Sebastian. We are all plunging straight towards our own decline. Without notes to sing, we slide down deeper down. The shadow grows without ever slowing down. We are headed straight into the fadeout, deeper down.
