Tom Krieglstein warns against the "car-to-class" student who just shows up and leaves. Research from ECC shows students who join clubs and organizations get higher grades, graduate more often, and earn more after college.
Then there's the type of student who goes to their car, goes to their class, goes to some activity, goes to an orientation like this, goes to another class and then goes home. Or maybe they join a club or organization. All the research shows that the more involved you are outside the classroom here at ecc, the higher your grades become, the higher your graduation rate becomes, and the higher success comes after you graduate, AKA you make more money.
