If you want to keep a healthy pipeline of current and future executive board members for your organization, here's my process. First is I identify who my twos and threes are. That's language from Dance Floor Theory who those twos and threes are AKA trending leaders and I match them up with the positions that are going to be open and available on my executive board. Once I've made that pairing, then I do the job of asking them if they are interested in that position. I make it as if I specifically chosen them for that leadership position because their qualities line up with exactly what is needed for that role. This process of looking at my current pool of members, identifying them, and then asking them is the groundwork that's needed to create an ongoing trend to keep my E Board alive, healthy, and ongoing forever.
