Hey, it's Tom here. And yesterday I gave a keynote in front of 500 people. And afterwards, several people came up and they're like, I want to do what you do for a living. Like, they want to become a professional speaker. And they said, but there's no way I'm going to be able to be as good as you are on stage. And I told them, I said, what you're seeing on stage is 15 years of working on the speeches, the stories, the jokes. I know how long to keep a joke in the arc of the joke before I drop the next part of the joke, because that's how many times I've done that joke. If you think a speaker is good, listen to him or her twice, and you'll see that they tell the same stories. You will be a great speaker if you stick with it over the long term and keep practicing and get better and better and better. And then I'll be able to tell you that you are an overnight success, 10 years in the making, just like I was.
