Tom Krieglstein breaks down how he runs live presentations for 1,000 college students using three windows: a backstage monitor, a full-day script outline, and the front-end video feed with live chat. Juggling all three at once is harder than it looks.

I want to give you a behind the scenes look at a virtual presentation that I'm hosting today for 1,000 college students. That's a lot of college students. And a virtual presentation obviously is different than an in person. So let me turn my camera around and show you what it looks like on my screen. And as you can see, I have three different windows opened up here. This main one is obviously where the main backstage is going to be and where I'm going to be hanging out over here I have the script for the full day so that I actually have it fully scripted out. Now. The thing is is that I'm not going to read it exactly word for word. I already know the script. And then also over here is the actual front end where I'll show up here. There's a chat box going on here that I'll be referencing throughout the meeting. Doing all three screens at once is not easy and people think it is, but it's surprisingly hard to manage that.
