Tom Krieglstein heard Tim Ferriss talk about two new tools and wanted to try them, but realized the real problem isn't missing tools. It's that he skips the basics he already knows work: morning yoga, back stretches, daily cardio. The gap isn't knowledge. It's doing the thing.

Hey, it is Tom here. And I just heard a podcast on Tim Ferriss and there are two new tools in there. I was like, oh my God, these are mind blowing. I gotta try them now. But then two seconds later he also said, but maybe it's not about learning new tools. Maybe the real challenge is we already know some basic things, but we don't do them. And I was like, ah, of course. I know I need to do yoga every morning. I know I need to do back stretches every morning. I know I need to go physically move every day and get my cardio in. But yet some days I don't do it. So instead of adding two new tools into my repertoire, maybe I need to step back and look at myself and say, why am I not doing the three things I already know work and are effective and that I should be doing?
