In this vlog, Tom Krieglstein returns home after traveling and demonstrates his personal effort to protect his neighborhood and backyard from the invasive spotted lantern fly. He points out a heavy infestation on a backyard tree, equips himself with a fly swatter and vinegar, and proceeds to swat and collect the insects, showing the "final carnage" on camera. He notes that the flies are likely to return within days, suggesting a potentially endless cycle of removal, but expresses a sense of duty and determination to do his part for the environment.
