Tom Krieglstein argues your task list will never be empty, and trying to finish everything just stresses you out. Instead, prioritize what matters most, complete those, and accept that lower-priority tasks stay undone.
The task list is never done. So the answer is not do as much as possible, work as hard as possible to clear everything off of the task list. Instead, the answer is be at peace with the fact that some things are not going to get done. So instead, prioritize what's most important, get that done, and be at peace that a lot of things are just going to have to be pushed off to another day. And some things will keep getting pushed off and keep getting pushed off because other things are more of a priority.
