Tom Krieglstein shows how your surroundings trigger habits: a bar makes you drink, a park with a soccer ball makes you play, a bowl of candy makes you eat. Change your environment to match your goals, not the other way around.
Chapters
I have no doubt that if I went to a bar right now, I would probably have a drink. I also have no doubt that if I went to the park with a soccer ball, I'd probably kick that soccer ball around. I also have no doubt that if there were a bowl of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups right here on the desk next to me, I would start eating those Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Our environment plays a massive role in helping or hurrying our goals and our habits. So take a moment, look around you right now, and see what is it around you in your current environment that's either helping or hurting you to achieve those goals that you want to achieve. And if you need to change it, change it now.
