could have been hardened. He could have been hardened because at one point in state— have you ever been in a state in your life where you're looking and you feel like two people? Where he sees his son is going through this stuff, being tormented, and a part of him is saying that my son can die. This thing can take my son out. This thing can take my mother out. This thing can take my father out. This thing can take my spouse out. But the other part of it, this is the Son of God, the Son of Man standing before me. And Father, no matter what I have seen, what I have seen, what has not happened, what I have wanted to happen, Lord, I'm crying out in my soul, God, help me, help me. So it's two things. Trying to operate. But I'm so thankful that the father in the text chose to continue to engage Jesus. Because Jesus was there. I'm here. And that's what he's saying today. I'm here. It's on you. It's on us. He's here. He's always here. When I leave here, well, he's in my car. When I go to work, when I'm at home, he's here. I can engage him him anywhere, anytime. So I'm going to encourage you to engage him. Don't let your heart become hard. Don't let it become hard. In the rocky places, deal with it. Because see, I can't speak to your triggers. I don't know. I'm not God unless he reveal it to me. I cannot speak to those things, but he can. And I was telling my wife that if you need help Yes, God works vertically. The relationship with him is extremely important, but he also works horizontally, meaning that his people here, he works through his people. See, the counselor and the therapist can't deliver you, but they can help you get in a place where your heart becomes conducive. And when your heart becomes conducive and the seed goes forward, it's the word of God. And the word of God, Jesus Christ, is the deliverer. You can almost use it interchangeable. The word is God. So therefore, when we're speaking the word, the true sound doctrine, uncompromising truth, word of God, you are in a process of being delivered. Hallelujah. So I'm going to challenge you, continue to engage. Don't harden your heart when you hear his voice. Draw closer. Draw closer to him. This is the application part of the message. Draw closer. And this is always the most challenging part of the message. Hearing somebody somebody breaking it down, somebody going back and forth, whatever style, somebody to sing it in worship. But why is it that the application is always the hardest part of the message? So I want to encourage you all, gentlemen, to apply this message. Amen, bro. Apply the text, because I'm gonna stay with the word. I'm not gonna deviate from it. I'm not here to entertain you. I'm not here to pump and prime, like I said earlier. I am a vessel of God. And I'm going to teach the text, I'm going to preach the text, because there's nothing that I can do for you but teach and preach this word and demonstrate it with my life through the power of the Holy Spirit. So if you don't know Christ, if you don't know Christ, I want to extend the invitation of discipleship to you. I want to extend the invitation of discipleship to you.
