In this monologue, the speaker reflects on a personal pattern of over‑controlling the "script" of life—driven by inner intention, ego, and external "pendulums"—which led to outcomes that felt misaligned. Citing Jung, they argue that one should instead trust the faint inner voice (the Inner Observer) that signals alternative paths. The talk introduces the "Dictates of Power" as an advanced Reality Transurfing principle: replace the habit of controlling the script with a habit of allowing and following the script as it unfolds. This involves shifting attention from personal will to the subtle guidance of the Inner Observer, strengthening that inner voice, and confidently stepping onto directions that feel outside one's usual intention. The speaker encourages listeners to develop this skill as a next step in their Transurfing practice.

20, the dictates of power. So I absolutely love Ium's little drawing here. I know it's so simple, but it speaks to me so much. And this probably has to do with the fact that I got myself into quite a bit of trouble in my past reality because I was very steadfast in my habit of controlling the script. So controlling the script has to do obviously with your inner intention thinking mind and your will and your ego, or pendulums, right? Pendulums convincing us that we must do things for a specific reason, or we must go in a specific direction for a specific reason. We have all encountered some scenario like this, right? Waking up in a romantic relationship that's no longer serving us, or waking up thinking, oh, I don't want to go to work today. Why did I go to school to be this thing? And I don't really enjoy it. And all that sort of stuff. So really what has happened in a scenario like this is your over-control of the script has led you to a place that really was not intended for you. So as Jung states here, you should follow the power of the script that dominates you, which feels faint. So this is about you trusting that inner voice, no matter how faint, and looking back on my past reality at any major fork in the road when I had to make a decision about something, oftentimes there was a little voice, looking back in retrospect, that was telling me, "Don't do this. This isn't the right way to go." And I refused and did it anyway because of my habit of controlling the script. So, what is the alternative here? Habit of allowing and following the Script instead, right? So, allowing yourself to hear even those faint, faint inner voices that tell you to go in another direction, or to change Scripts entirely. This is you moving your focal point of attention from your inner intention, your habit of controlling the script, your habit of not trusting the world, your habit of thinking that everything you do, every step you make, is going to come from you. Allowing your world to show you another direction or another path, and then being willing to follow it, This is the Dictates of Power, and it is awesome! This is a little bit more advanced Transurfing. You have to have a pretty good connection with your Inner Observer, because you're gonna wanna listen for that voice directing you in these new directions. Most of us have quieted that voice down so much that it is so, so, so faint. It's about getting that voice speaking a little more loudly. So, you can feel confident that even if a step is outside of your Script in a direction that doesn't necessarily seem like something you would pick for yourself, something that you would follow because of your own Inner Intention, this is you stepping away and allowing the habit of allowing and the habit of following to kick in instead. So stay tuned to 21, following.
