Jung's "First Entry into Reality" shows how we follow invisible scripts, like actors in a movie we don't know we're in. By noticing these scripts and moving to what's called the center screen, you can wake up and take back control of your attention instead of being pulled along unconsciously.

Illustration 4: First Entry into Reality. You are being directed by an external script woven into a motion picture in which you are now one of the characters. So this illustration that Jung made is a little more elaborate than the others, and this is showing the power of the script falling asleep and waking up. So you can control your attention, but you must become aware of the fact that there is an external script. And usually this external script captivates us in a way that we lose our awareness, we lose our ability to take control of that script. So as Jung shows us here, being carried along in the flow of the script, this is when you are being affected by either your inner screen or your outer screen, and you are simply just getting taken along for a ride with a script that you did not create. So it's when you can pull yourself into that center screen, that center space of awareness where you are not existing in your inner screen or the outer screen, that you can control your attention. This is waking up. So the moment you wake up and take control of your attention, the script will lose its hold on you. So this is when you, gain the ability to take control of that Script and get away from the Script that has been carrying you along in your unconscious state. So, please stay tuned for Lesson 5, Tracking Your Attention.
