How To Transcend Poverty & Lack Mentality w/ Reality Transurfing

In this solo presentation on the official Transurfing TV YouTube channel, Renee Garcia shares her personal journey from a childhood of poverty to financial success, yet struggling with a persistent poverty mentality. She explains how focusing on what one does not want, as taught by Reality Transurfing, reinforces lack, and offers a suite of practical techniques to break the cycle. Key strategies include stopping negative focus, quantifying financial goals, re‑framing self‑talk to embody comfort, stability and freedom, redefining true needs and returning to basic essentials, lowering overhead expenses, and consciously dropping excessive importance on money. Garcia also discusses using purpose, visualizing worst‑case scenarios (negative slide) to reduce fear, and adopting a lifestyle shift that aligns with a higher track of reality. Throughout, she emphasizes that thoughts shape the “mirror” of reality, and by changing thought patterns and actions, one can attract evidence that supports a secure, abundant mindset. The talk concludes with an invitation for viewers to comment, ask questions, and join related Transurfing communities.

Hello, Transurfers and the Transurfing curious! I am Renee Garcia, and this is, of course, Transurfing TV, the only official YouTube channel for Transurfing that is endorsed by Vadim Zeland himself, the author of Reality Transurfing! First off, if you have not yet subscribed, please do so now! We greatly appreciate your energetic contribution! If you have not joined us on the International Transurfing Institute Facebook group, please see the link below and join us for more conversations like the one I'm about to give, and, uh, just a really thriving place to connect with other people that are talking about subjects like this and many, many more. So I am going to get right into it today. My talk is on recovering 'From Poverty Mentality.' This is by request, and this is something that I personally battled with for a lot of years. So I feel that I have sort of cracked the code. It is not an easy process and it's not a short process. You will have to develop some tools primarily along the lines of positive thinking, a new positive thinking patterns, and some other sort of perspectives that you have to gain a sense of in your mind. To really start feeling as though you have all the things that you feel money will help you either achieve or get away from, or just feelings within of feeling comfortable and secure and all that stuff. And poverty mentality is a very, very fascinating topic. I once heard someone say on TV, and it scared me at the time, but then I realized that I was in fact in control of my reality. But what I heard on TV was that, um, poverty mentality is the only mental disease for which there is no cure. And when I heard that, I clenched up and I became, you know, I— this pendulum caught me and it caught my attention. It caught my energy. And then I realized, no, you know what, Renee, you have rewritten your own script. So you're not going to adhere to this theory because remember, there is evidence to support all theories. So if you believe that you can never recover from your poverty mentality, then you will gather plenty of evidence within your reality to support that theory. If you believe that there is a way out and you can develop a new theory for yourself, you will be offered plenty of evidence to support that theory as well. So I, a little bit about my situation. If you don't know, I was born into a poverty situation. I grew up in a very, very lower middle-class home. My parents were both blue-collar workers, labor workers, and we struggled immensely. We lived in a trailer park, in a mobile home. I was left to care for my siblings because my parents could not afford babysitting during my childhood. And we struggled for even the most menial basic things like having a car. There were a number of years where my parents didn't even have a car. Uh, me getting braces on my teeth because my teeth needed to be We couldn't afford that. Very, very, very basic needs were often overlooked because we just did not have the financial means to do this. So what happened for me then is I developed a certain set of beliefs and, and ideas about money and my relationship to money. Now, at the same time, I also, when I became a young adult, I also began to understand understand the power of action and really putting myself into environments where I could make money, where I could climb out of that financial hole, and where I could start thriving financially and see some success. And I did this. However, my mentality did not match up with my current reality. I constantly felt, even though I was making more and more money, I constantly felt like I was getting poor. I would feel less and less secure within my financial standing. I would struggle to feel successful, even though I could very clearly see that I was in fact successful. I had eliminated debt entirely from my life, I had a substantial amount of savings, I had a number of ways that I could make money, I had material things. I had nice material things, very nice cars, and I owned my own boat, and I had beautiful furniture and clothes and jewelry and all that stuff. Yet, in my mind, I was still horribly screwed up with feelings of insecurity, not being comfortable, constantly feeling as though the other shoe was going to drop. And the more money that I made, the more I felt these negative things. So, what happened, or why I believe that happens to people— Specifically is because I felt when I was younger, as soon as I had money, I would feel good. And as soon as I had money, I would feel secure. And as soon as I had money, I would feel comfort. And as I made more money and I didn't feel these things that my, my prior self had believed, I be— I became more and more desperate for them. And remember, what we show our mirror is exactly what we get, we get in return. So I really just continued to amp up my feelings of insecurity and discomfort, or not being comfortable. Things were going to— something bad was going to happen and I was going to lose my money. And I would get more of that information coming to me from my mirror. And of course, I was tuning into that sector of reality, highlighting all the evidence that I needed to support this theory, even though I had plenty of other evidence in my life to support that I was comfortable, that I was well off, that I wasn't, I wasn't poverty level anymore. So one of the main things that helped me, and it took me a number of years, even after finding Transurfing to realize this, is that I needed to stop thinking about what it was that I did not want. I needed to start thinking about what it was that I did want, what it was that I was going to achieve, or where I was going to push myself in the direction of moving out of that space and resonating with a different track. But the first step was, is that I needed to stop resonating with that poverty mentality. I needed to stop telling myself all of the things that I did not want. And thoughts that I had constantly that, that represent this focusing on what I did not want were thoughts like, I don't want to be insecure anymore. I don't want to have to worry about money. I don't want to feel like the other shoe is always going to drop. I don't want to constantly be thinking about where, where I can lose money or what bad is going to happen. And as Reality Transurfing teaches us is you always actively get what you do not want. So in having those thoughts of not wanting to be uncomfortable, not wanting to, to be in a place where I felt insecure, I was actually creating more of that same thing for myself. And it was about that switch over to thinking about what it was that I did want. So one of the main things that helped me after this point was quantifying what I felt financial success was for me. And this was a big one. So in the past, when I'd think, I don't want to feel insecure anymore, I need more money. I never sat down and quantified this, uh, what this looked like specifically for me. So I could have an objective, I could have a goal, I could have, I could set an intention. I just say, I don't want to feel insecure. I want more. Well, when you tell the world or your mirror or yourself that you want more, even if you make something, you're still going to want more because you're not putting that in quantified parameters. You're just saying, I want more. So if you make money, you're still going to just say, I want more. And it kept me chasing after that dangling carrot that really perpetuated this whole thing with I'm insecure, I'm I want, I need, and I want more. And there really was never more. And me doing this just continued to, again, perpetuate these feelings inside. So that's why I became more insecure, more uncomfortable, seeing more poverty mentality, even though I was making more and more money. So what I started to do was work on feeling all the things I believed money would bring to me. So, comfort, stability, freedom. I started telling myself, "I have freedom now. I have comfort now. I am stable now." And focusing on what information I could pull from my environment, switching my mind over. To these sort of statements that would then allow me to pull material from my reality supporting this theory that I was stating to be a fact. I am secure now. I have financial stability now. Uh, I am comfortable now. So remember, there is evidence to support all theories. If you continue to say, I don't want to be uncomfortable, I don't want to be this, I don't want to be that. You're actually going to highlight that sector of reality that's going to show you more of the same. So it's about you really taking the initiative and developing some new patterns of thinking that will allow you to highlight a different sector of reality that is more in line with the higher version of yourself that you want to be, therefore connecting you to a higher track and leaving some of these, um, old Patterns behind. So, "All it takes is one bad event." This is something that I used to tell myself, and I don't say that anymore. Again, it's getting to pulling evidence to support that new theory, and letting go of these ideas, "All it takes is one bad event," or these thought patterns, "All it takes is one bad event." event for me to fall down. All it takes is one bad event for me to lose my money, lose my job, lose my this, lose my that. And I don't want to lose that thing, or I don't want to experience that bad event. Well, it doesn't matter if you experience that bad event or not in your mind, therefore in your reality, you will feel you are constantly resonating with that other shoe dropping. And I really think that this is the foundation for poverty mentality. So again, I am comfortable right now. I am secure right now. I have everything I need right now. And this is going to get us to what are your needs? Uh, I personally redefined what it was that I needed. I used to live a life where I felt like I needed a lot more. I needed a brand new BMW. I needed, tons more money. I needed tons more material things. I needed super fancy furniture and all kinds of stuff. And really what happened in me feeling like I needed this stuff is it kept me in a place where I never truly felt comfortable with just the basics in life and getting back down to the basics. And I'll tell you another trick, how to do this in just a few moments. Getting back down to the basics really helped me a lot to get rid of poverty mentality because I put myself into a place where even if worst case scenario played out, and let's say that I lost my, my income streams and things became off balance and more money was going out than coming in, I was down to the basics. So I knew that all I really needed was my comfortable bed in my home and to be able to buy enough groceries for myself. I didn't need a lot of extra. Therefore, I didn't feel like if something was not to transpire in my reality, that I wouldn't be comfortable. I was in the past placing a lot of comfort on things that were unnecessary. And even the thought of living the way that I live now, getting back to the basics, basics probably would have sent me into a panic attack. So it really comes down to getting down to the basics of what you really, really need and what makes you happy. Playing that Negative Slide or that Polarized Slide that you go down to ground zero and you struggle financially, but you have a structure in your life where you feel comfortable and taken care of regardless. Even if things aren't working out to your favor. That way, if that does play out, you're not completely lost. You know that you have your basic needs being met. Things will change, but most of all, you're not dependent on an extremely extravagant lifestyle to help you feel secure, content. And that's ultimately what I did in the past, and it set me up for really drastic imbalance. It took me a few years to, to rebalance, but I did. And doing that was getting Going back down to the basics, knowing that it will be okay if things don't go your way financially. Let's say you have to sleep on a couch at a relative's house, have a life where you feel like that will actually be okay. You can be okay with that mentally. That releases you from some importance and you know that if something tragic does happen to you financially, that you are going to be okay. Finding purpose. Has helped with this immensely. I play a Negative Slide once in a while in my mind. All my, uh, income streams dry up for the most part, and I'm not making a lot of money. What's the worst case scenario? Worst case scenario is I have to rent a little studio apartment and I live with very, very little. But the upside to that, the advantages, I have a ton of time to donate to Transurfing TV and ITI and helping other people connect with Transurfing. So I know that my worst case scenario isn't actually that bad because I can find happiness in my purpose within my higher self. And that helps me to connect with a space where I am not dependent on being financially well off for my happiness. I have something else that is going to help me to feel joy in my reality, not just me feeling financially secure. Lowering overhead. This is one of my tricks. When I was making more money in my past reality, the more money that I would make, the more money that I would spend and my overhead would go up. I would rent a fancier apartment. I would lease a very fancy car, I would start taking more extravagant vacations, I would spend lots of money. So, in creating more wealth for myself, I raised the bar. So, I never actually got to a place where I felt that there was more coming in than going out. Now, I feel like there's more coming in than going out, because I've gotten back down to the basics. I do everything that I need to do to create my money and have my money come in, but I'm not then going out and overspending. So, this was a big, big one for me. Lower overhead. When your income goes up, your overhead goes up, and my security levels would go down. So, the key was to lower my overhead. Since then, I have a very, very streamlined overhead. I have my mortgage payment, I have zero debt, I don't have a car payment. I have my health insurance because I'm a sole proprietor or an entrepreneur, and I have my, my other basic bills. But besides that, I keep everything down. So I don't feel like that quality of life is so high that I need to make all that money to pay for it. And therefore I am feeling really, really insecure. So, drop Importance on financial matters. I know this sounds crazy, and people ask me this a lot, "How do I drop Importance on finances?" Dropping Importance does not mean giving up. It means giving the situation what it needs via your thought energy and your action, and taking the emotion out of it. So if you're worried about your finances, that worrying, that excess potential, that importance is not actually serving you. So when people message me and they say, hey, how do you, how do you drop Importance on finances? I'm not saying or suggesting that you stop caring about your finances. What I'm suggesting is that you make a concrete plan of thought quality, and action fused together, what you feel you need to do in order to be financially well-off or successful, or even just maintain your basic bills, or what it is that you need to do. And you systematically go through your day and do these things, trusting that this is the formula to help you, not this, the inner intention, importance, excess potential. I'm not going to make it. Negative self-thoughts, limited thinking, all that stuff going on in your mind is not going to help you. This is a trap. It is about, again, looking towards what you want to achieve and taking action towards achieving that. That is what's going to help you, not importance levels. So again, just to make myself very, very clear here, I am not I'm not suggesting that anyone just stop caring and stop acting towards their finances. That's not what dropping importance is about, or lowering importance levels. Lowering importance levels is about figuring out a way to where you can get pulled out of that negative thinking or, uh, catastrophizing, limited thinking, feeling as though you have to worry about something in order for you to achieve it. And that is simply not the case. And I teach a lot of these things in my Mo Money class. I was going to speak about limited thinking, but I think we're getting a little bit over time here. I'm going to leave you all with a, uh, with a few points. And then of course, oh, we'll have this open for conversation if anybody wants to ask me anything that I've missed out on. One thing that has really helped me is understanding when my reality is calling for a life Lifestyle change, going with the flow of variations. I was in a place previously where I don't feel that financial security, being comfortable, feeling, uh, content with what I had was really possible in my past life. I was in a very fast-paced city, a very materialistic city. I had a lot of thoughts, to keep up with people that I knew and all this stuff. And really, what it boiled down to is that me feeling like I had gotten away from poverty mentality was changing my lifestyle, getting back to the basics, and going to another track where there was more nourishment for another mentality that was away from my poverty mentality. A lifestyle change, a shift in my expectations, learning to live with less, increasing levels of comfort by taking action in my reality, lowering my overhead and my security. Also, this all working on these things internally, these allowed me to shift to another track where poverty mentality simply does not exist. So, or if it comes in, I have a lot of these tools, a lot of these new thought patterns that I can go about acknowledging when that thought comes in and eradicating it and saying, no, you know what? You do have enough. You set up your goal, you've achieved that goal. You've set up your picture of financial security. You, you've achieved that. You are in in line with what you deem successful, there's no reason why you should feel, uh, insecure about your position financially. So I hope this answers the question, how to recover from poverty mentality. If you feel I have left anything out, please comment below and I will absolutely try my best to answer your question. And I hope you all have appreciated this. This one comes from the heart. This is years of me developing new techniques and new ideas to overcome poverty mentality. And I hope for you all to overcome it if you are struggling with it yourself. So thanks so much for watching, guys. Bye.
