Tufti the Priestess Summary #Part 1 - Reality Transurfing by Vadim Zeland

Renee Garcia breaks down Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing framework using three screens: inner (thoughts), outer (stimuli), and central (awareness hub). By shifting attention to the central screen and activating an imagined "intention plate," you can consciously edit your life like a film reel instead of acting out a pre-written script.

Welcome. My name is Renee Garcia, and this is an International Transurfing Institute production. These illustrations are based on the concepts from the book Tufti, the Priestess Live Stroll Through a Movie, written by Vadim Zeland, as illustrated by ITI Facebook member Iyum. I will be giving both my unscripted interpretation as well as relaying notes from my Tufti seminar that are in line with each illustration. Please enjoy. Illustration 1: Introduction: Dream and Life. So what Iyum is presenting to us here is that reality is different from what you have imagined via an illustration showing a baby being born, a child, a young adult, a full-grown adult, and then obviously an elderly person eventually dying. Life really equates to a dream in the Tufti book, and Vadim Zeland also presents this to us in Reality Transurfing Steps 1-5, that life is like a dream and death is actually waking up. So, down below, we have 3 points that I will read out. 1, both in waking and in dreaming, you are asleep. So, that's why Vadim Zeland really presents to us in Reality Transurfing Steps 1-5 The power of lucid dreaming, that's you waking up inside of your dream. The reason that this is valuable in creating, creating your own reality is that we have to wake up in the same manner we wake up in our dream. To have a lucid dream, we have to wake up in our waking lives to be able to take control of the script and start creating our own reality. Own realities. 2, in both spaces, reality moves like a frame in a film roll. So in the Tufti book, Vadim Zeland presents to us the idea that life or reality is like a film roll, and our goals are those future frames. And in our sleeping life and in our waking life, reality moves just like this roll of film. And we ultimately can take control of that roll if we do wake up and realize that reality is like a film roll and that we are part of the script. So when we when we become aware of the script, that's when we can move that film roll in the direction that we choose, which is ultimately that end frame, our ultimate goal. 3, the moving frame can be controlled, but you don't know how to do it. So this is where most people have problems with reality creation is they're actually trying to control or create their reality rather in that moment in that current frame. But it's that end frame or the frames that are in front of us that we can affect. So when those frames come into our current frame, reality can look different, but you have to attempt to add material to those future frames. You can't control reality or create reality the current frame. It's the future frames that allow us to do so. So please stay tuned for 2, and I will go over that one, which is two screens. Two. Two screens. An inner screen and an outer screen. And your attention. So an inner screen is falling in thought. This is you getting lost in thought. This is you overthinking. This is you daydreaming. This is you losing yourself into your own mind. This is typically what introverts revert to when they lose awareness, when they lose consciousness. Then there is the outer screen. This is falling into external stimuli and your environment. This is you interacting with other people. This is you becoming focused visually on your external environment. This is you getting sucked into social media, or the television, or doing something with other people. So really, when you lose your awareness, when you lose your waking consciousness, you have the propensity to fall into either your inner screen or your outer screen. So the question here is, at the bottom, is where is your attention? Shift it to your awareness center. That's the center screen. So the center screen is a very, very potent place for achievement. This is where you can accomplish really incredible things in a short amount of time, but you must practice systematically at pulling yourself from your outer screen and pulling yourself away from your inner screen. So how I like to imagine it is that I sort of have a buffer in between my world and myself, and it's in that buffer that I can really create magic and get a lot done in a very short amount of time and be very, very effective. Effective in whatever task I am trying to accomplish. So again, it's about pulling yourself away from your thought, and then also pulling yourself away from external stimuli and your environment, and shifting your awareness to your Center Screen. Stay tuned for number 3, a stroll through a dream. Illustration 3: A Stroll Through a Dream. I see myself and I see reality. Today I am going to stroll through a waking dream. So as our last lesson presented to us, we have the propensity to get pulled into either our internal screen, which is our inner screen, or the external screen, or the outer and it's in this place of your awareness center, the center screen, where the magic of reality creation really transpires. So as Jung suggests at the bottom, disconnect from the screen and turn your attention to stay in a state of awareness. So when you actively pull yourself out of your inner screen and away from the outer screen, you have acquired the ability to wake up in your world. You are aware, you are existing, or strolling in that Center Screen place, that Center State of Awareness. And this is when you have the ability to take control of the Script. So, stay tuned for Lesson 4. First Entry into Reality. Illustration 4: First Entry into Reality. You are being directed by an external script woven into a motion picture in which you are now one of the characters. So this illustration that Jung made is a little more elaborate than the others, and this is showing The Power of the Script: Falling Asleep and Waking Up. So you can control your attention, but you must become aware of the fact that there is an external script, and usually this external script captivates us in a way that we lose our awareness, we lose our ability to take control of that script. So as Yum shows us here, being carried along in the flow of the script, this is when you are being affected by either your inner screen or your outer screen, and you are simply just getting taken along for a ride with a script that you did not create. So it's when you can pull yourself into that center screen, that center space of awareness, where you are not existing in your inner screen or the outer screen, that you can control your attention. This is waking up. So the moment you wake up and take control of your attention, the script will lose its hold on you. So, this is when you gain the ability to take control of that Script and get away from the Script that has been carrying you along in your unconscious state. So, please stay tuned for Lesson 5, Tracking Your Attention. Illustration 5: Tracking Your Attention. Habit: Not to fall asleep, but to wake up. If you can achieve this, your reality will begin to unfold in ways you have yet to see. But first, let's talk about your current baseline of attention and triggers into a non-conscious state. So where do you spend most of your time? Is it in the inner screen or the outer screen? When you do find yourself in a state of being aware, what takes you from it more easily? Your inner thoughts or the outer circumstances. Let's discuss briefly some identifying triggers so you can be more aware of them in the future. So examples of external triggers or something that sends you into the outer screen. You just met with someone. You are listening to someone talk. The TV is on and you tune in, or you're listening to some music and singing along. You are arguing with someone or something. Someone asks you something or is trying to engage you. Something happened close to you. It doesn't matter what, some kind of sound, any kind of movement, anything that attracts and engages your attention. You are taking a walk and focusing on your surroundings. As soon as something happens, focus your attention on it, but don't lose control of your attention. Try to keep it at the center. Pay attention to what is calling you, but do not give it everything. Keep yourself focused and not completely losing yourself or your thoughts. Examples of internal triggers are events that pull you into the internal world. You're getting ready to go somewhere. You're going to do something or take some kind of action. You're about to talk to someone. You're thinking about something, an event from the day, in anticipation of the future, what someone said to you. You're thinking about your past. You're daydreaming. Something good just happened to you. So again, this is about you tracking your attention. Where does your attention usually go? And learning to see those pathways as a moment to wake up and call yourself back to the center screen. So please stay tuned for our next lesson, which is 6: Composing Reality. Illustration 6: Composing Reality. So in this illustration by Iyum, what she is drawing is Vadim's concept that we can't actually change reality in the present moment, that it's really only those future frames that can be affected. So once the current frame is in our lineup, it's already essentially happened, meaning we already composed that frame of reality with our prior actions. So if we want to compose our reality and have something different than what we have in the current moment, we actually have to look to those future frames, not the current frame that we are in. However, when we do compose reality by taking that future frame into consideration, we no longer are abiding by the fixed script. We are taking the script into our own hands and we are creating a new script with that goal being our end frame. So when you decide that you want to be something or have something or do something, that is your end goal, that is your end frame, and all the action and thought quality that you have leading up until that end frame needs to be in line with that end frame. That's why we can't control reality in our current frame. It's because we have to apply thought-action and physical action towards that end frame. So at the end of the, the illustration here in the bottom, Yume says, "You can just choose the film that will be shown in the future." So again, you can't choose a different film in your current frame, but you can choose the film that will be shown in the future. Please stay tuned for Lesson 7, which is the intention plate. Illustration 7. The intention plate. How to compose the future. Illuminate the future frame with the external intention center. So what Iyengar has presented to us here is that the plate really has two focal points. One is near the forehead, that is the inner center, the primitive activities and the current frame, and the second is the outer center, which has the capability of moving the future slide, the end of the Plate. So the Plate is kind of like an extremity where it starts in your head and it moves through the back of your skull, down your neck, through your back, and sort of out near the center of your shoulder blades. Now it's where the Plate ends near your forehead, or where it begins rather, that it affects the primitive activities in the current frame. So again, this is you projecting up onto that film reel the information and material that is in line with your future frame, which is your future goal. And then it's the end of the plate, the part that exits out your back near your shoulder blades, that has the capability of moving the film roll slide by slide or frame by frame. So I asked Vadim Zeland if how I was feeling the plate was the correct way, and he said that every single person feels the plate in a different way. So really there is no right or wrong way to do this, and this illustration here is Iyum's representation of what the plate is to her. If you would like to see my version of the Plait. I have a video on Transurfing TV that explains my version, but really it's entirely up to you. It's whatever you want it to be, and if it works for you, then do it. So please stay tuned for our next illustration, how to work with the Plait. Illustration 8: How to work with the plate. How to choose reality. 1. Wake up and log into the awareness point. This is your center screen. This is you pulling yourself away from your inner screen. This is you pulling yourself away from the outer screen. This is you existing in that center place where you can achieve success. This is where you can focus. This is where you can be effective. This is where you can be powerful. I see myself and I see reality. This is a statement that will help you to pull yourself into the center screen and stay there. 2, disconnecting the screens. Activate the plate. Focus your attention on the plate. So this is really why the plate works and why the plate is magical, because if you are focusing on this sensation of this external energetic extremity that starts in your head and moves through the back of your skull, down through your shoulder blades, and exits your body. This is you being aware in the moment because you have to be focusing on what this feeling feels like. Therefore, you are activated and you are pulled away. You are disconnected from both screens. 3. With taking your attention away from the plate, imagine a picture of the future. So again, this is you focusing on that future frame that you want to pull eventually into your current frame. So again, if you can project up onto that film reel, up onto that future frame, all of the material and action and thought quality that's in line with your goal and then activate your plate, you will be able to pull that film reel along like a pulley, eventually realizing that end frame. It's kind of magical. Stay tuned for our next lesson, which is the illusion of action. Illustration 9: The Illusion of Action. Motion is not what you do, but rather what is happening, as already written in the script. So this is a fascinating idea, and really what Iyengar is touching on here as part of Vadim's teachings is that a lot of our motion is really about what is happening currently rather than what we really want, rather, or what we intend to achieve with that end frame. So a lot of times motion, being in motion with what is happening, is you falling asleep. So you are characterizing actors inside of a film, and this is simultaneously an illusion and a trap. So you are being, you are being trapped by the motion that you are taking in those frames, and it is also an illusion that you're actually doing something, but you're not actually doing anything because you're asleep if you have not taken control of the script. So again, motion is not what you do, but rather what is happening. So that is you simply acting accordingly to the script as if you were a character in a movie. So the key here is to wake up and start taking different types of action, different types of steps that are in line with that future frame, that future goal. This is you taking steps to create a new script, and this is you exiting out of the illusion or the trap of the current script. So stay tuned, everyone, for Lesson 10: How to Escape the Trap. Illustration 10: How to Escape The trap. So what Ium is asking here is, what is stopping you from escaping? Ignorance of the fact that you are a character. A reflexive psyche. Snail horns. The mold. Limited by notions of the possible and the impossible. Okay, so let's break that down for a minute. First of all, you're not going to escape unless you realize that you are a character in a script. And when Jung talks about a reflexive psyche, the snail horn, so Vadim Zeland presents this concept to us in the book of us being a snail and really our, our horns or our little antennas that are out of our heads, they just kind of move when something happens. So we're really just reflexive in nature, and we're just responding to our environment in a somewhat instinctive sort of way. And then the mold, limited by notions of the possible and impossible. So again, this is us just assuming that we know what's possible and what's not possible and we don't try to escape the Script, because maybe we think in our mind, "Oh, that's not possible. This is what I have now, and this is what is possible." So, Frame Illumination Method. Catch yourself at one of your triggers, expectation, intention, problem. Wake up, "I can see myself and I can see reality." Activate the plate, hold the feeling, compose reality, drop the feeling of the plate. If the event is very important to you, repeat the Illumination several times. So, she's showing that the Frame Illumination Method helps us to form new habits. And what is stopping you from escaping that passive attitude is us staying in our old habits. Again, the Frame Illumination Method is an active attitude going in the direction of new habits. And that's what we really, really strive to do to create our new realities. Is to create new habits that are in line with that future Frame. This is really what's valuable here. And then maintaining awareness of what is stopping you from escaping. So, recognize and wake up when you're just in a reflexive mode. Remember that you are a character in a film. If you are not maintaining awareness, you are getting taken by that script that is no longer serving you. And then remember also that you can change your notions of what is possible and what you deem impossible. The things that I'm doing now, I once deemed impossible, but I know in fact they are now possible. And this is me doing the action that I need to, taking the action that I need to, that's in line with new habits and active attitude. So stay tuned for Illustration 11, Reprogramming.
