A son tells his dad that a will alone won't work: it has to go through probate, which is slow and expensive. A revocable trust skips probate, costs less, and keeps things private. His dad disagrees.

Son, I've taken care of everything. I've made out my will, so I want you to know when I'm gone, everything will automatically be yours. Are you sure that's right, Dad? That is actually dead wrong, Dad. I've been listening to Jerry Taylor Law, and he says that not only will we have to spend a year and a half in court, it's going to cost us a ton of money to get— Son, you are dumber than a bag of hammers. Stop getting your law off social media. I checked it out, Dad. Jerry Taylor's right. If you've got a will, you have to go to probate court to make it enforceable. You need to tear that will up and just get a trust. It's cheaper, it takes less time, and it's private.
