Ladies, this message is for you because most of you are not protecting yourselves financially. There are two realities that you need to come to grips with. The first is that if you're married, your husband is probably going to die before you do. The second is that half of all marriages end in divorce. The question I want you to ask yourselves is, if either of those things happens, will you be financially prepared? I talk to a lot of women who have no idea about the finances in their marriage. It's not uncommon in many marriages for the husband to handle everything financially, so much so that the wife often has no idea how much money they have, much less where the accounts are located. Let this be a wake-up call to you that you need to become familiar with the finances, and it's never a bad idea to have your own money set aside in your own accounts. I know most of you think that bad things won't happen to you, and hopefully it won't, but it makes sense to be prepared.
