Liam Payne's ex-wife has been appointed as the representative of his estate. For many people, the ex-spouse is the last person that they would want to be representative of their estate. If you're familiar with the situation, you know that Liam Payne had an 8-year-old son with his ex-wife, and that I'm sure went a long way to convincing the court that she was an appropriate person to name as representative. He also named an entertainment lawyer as representative of the estate. Why did this happen? Because Liam Payne died without a will or any other plan in place. His estate has been estimated to be $38 million, which will all go most likely to his son. But first, it will be put into a minor's trust until his son reaches the age of adulthood, whatever that is in England, and then probably will get the whole amount dumped on him. This is a good example of what you do not want to do, and you certainly don't want to do this to your kids. That much money dumped on a child at one time is going to be a disaster, most likely.
