Jerry Taylor says a will from 20 years ago is probably worthless. Moving, remarriage, new property, and bigger retirement savings all make it outdated. An old will gives false security and leaves heirs with legal problems.

Oh, so you do have a will. It's, it's in that drawer in that closet somewhere behind that thing. Yeah, that's great. And it's good to know that you signed it 20 years ago when the kids were all little, especially because since then you've moved twice, you've remarried, you bought 2 new houses, and your retirement account has tripled. Well, let me just bring you down to earth a little bit, because that will from 20 years ago has no idea any of that happened. The only thing that will is doing right now is giving you a false sense of security. And something tells me you're going to ride that right up until the time your family inherits a legal nightmare. It's time to get all this worked out. I've got a free workshop next week. Comment "workshop" and I'll send you the link to get registered.
