A lot of times we get DMs about this from people who experience them, but they don't know that it actually is a thing. They're not the only person going through it. In general, there are two types of sex headaches. So one can start off as this kind of dull ache that starts to get more and more intense as you get turned on. The other type is a much more severe kind of headache that feels like it happens out of nowhere, usually right before, sometimes right after an orgasm. Some people unfortunately can experience both of these types of sex headaches.
Most sex headaches just last for a couple of minutes. But some people can have them for hours or even days, which as you.
Can imagine, can really get in the way of you desiring sex because you're just worried about am I gonna have this headache afterwards?
Yeah, absolutely. That would be completely, completely normal. Now the reality is, is that men are more likely to have them than women. If you do suffer from sex headaches, don't panic. I know that they are uncomfortable, but they are generally not harmful. They're definitely not life threatening. However, if it is super severe or debilitating for you and for your sex life, then you should definitely check in with your doctor.
Alright, so that wraps up our quick little explainer on sex headaches.
