Looking for a super simple way to bring more romance and connection into your relationship? Get ready with me, a licensed couples therapist and New York Times bestselling author, as I share with you one of my favorite techniques that I've used in my 16 year relationship. The technique is to create relationship rituals. These are things that you and your partner do together consistently. So, for example, my husband and I make out every single night before bed. If you haven't seen the viral video that I made about that, make sure to check it out pinned right at the top of my TikTok page. We also do weekly date nights, and every year on our anniversary, we try to take some sort of trip together. Now, one of the reasons rituals work so well is because they make you and your partner have some sort of consistency with each other. I mean, let's be real life is busy. It's very easy for us to put our partner and our relationship on the bottom of our to do list. But there's also some power in just the word ritual in the packaging of it. Like if your partner says to you, I'm hungry, let's go down the street for pizza, it's not gonna feel very special, right? But if you say it's date night, just that term is gonna make it feel different. So the act itself doesn't need to be any different, but it's the packaging of calling it a ritual that makes it feel very special. If you're interested in more straightforward techniques for bringing more romance and connection into your relationship, make sure to follow along.
