Ever wonder why your partner goes quiet in the bedroom? š¤«

Vanessa Marin, a licensed therapist, explains why men stay quiet during sex: learned habit, trying to last longer, or embarrassment. She suggests telling him you like hearing him, asking if something feels good, and making noise yourself to ease the pressure.

What do you do if you have a male partner who is completely silent during. Hello and welcome back to S questions you're too nervous to Google. I'm Vanessa Marin, I'm a licensed therapist and together with my husband Xander, we create content to help you keep the spark alive in your long term relationship. So we actually pulled men about this because I wanted to hear it directly from them and we got three most common responses. First, a lot of men said that they just learned how to stay quiet from an early age. So when they were figuring out they were obviously trying not to get caught and they just got in the habit of being really quiet while being second. A lot of guys said they do it to last longer, that sometimes making a lot of noise can actually be really exciting and so they're just trying to delay their by not making so much noise. But by far and away the most common reason was they just felt embarrassed or unsure. A lot of guys said they felt like there was a right and a wrong way to make noise in the bedroom and a lot of guys just just didn't want to embarrass themselves. So if your partner goes really quiet in the bedroom, I think one of the best things you can do is let them know what you love about hearing them let go. So you could say something like I love hearing you make noise during it totally turns me on. It helps me get to know what you like and it just makes me feel like you're present in the moment with me. I would love to hear you do it even more. And in the moment you can encourage a little feedback by saying things like tell me what you want next and and does that feel good? And you can also help him feel more at ease by making some noise yourself so he doesn't feel like he's the only one on display.
