A short YouTube monologue by Vanessa Marin introducing the concept of the "bristle reaction": recoiling or tensing when a partner touches you, often because prior sexual initiation was indirect and causes one to feel their partner always has a sexual motive. The clip defines the reaction, explains a common cause (roundabout initiation), and invites viewers to comment and follow for a second part about fixes.

Have you heard of the bristle reaction? It's when you recoil from your partner's touch. They could just be coming in for a hug or trying to give you a little caress on the back, but you feel your whole body just tense up in resistance. The reason you're feeling this way just might have something to do with the way your partner initiates. Most of us are pretty embarrassed about initiating sex, so we try to do it in these kind of roundabout ways like trying to make a hug last for a little bit longer or slip a little bit of tongue into a kiss, hoping that it will lead to more. But if your partner only ever initiates sex this way, it puts you on guard and makes you you feel like every time they touch you or try to kiss you, they have a motive. Like they're always trying to push it into sex. Let me know down in the comments if you just found out about the bristle reaction for the first time and follow for part two. How to fix this.
