I know it's tempting to think of it as, like, this is just a sexual act. How could it possibly be that strong that we're, like, talking about either opening up the relationship or ending the relationship over? And we actually did a story this weekend where we talked about fantasies, and I talked about the possibility of people needing to walk away from a relationship if they're not able to, like, fulfill it. And we got a lot of backlash from people saying, I can't believe you would tell people to end a marriage over a fantasy. So, like, I get that on the surface, it sounds like ending an entire relationship over one sexual act that you can't agree on. But the bottom line is that some fantasies really and truly are so central to our expression of our sexuality, of who we are, that the idea of never doing it doesn't feel okay.
