30 seconds or less to boost your sex drive. Stop scrolling and find out how. First of all, if you're new here, hi, my name is Vanessa Marin. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in sex therapy. And I first of all have to say that sex drive is complex. It's affected by a lot of different things. And this hack isn't going to work for everyone in every circumstance, but it's definitely very useful. Okay, here's the hack. All you need to do is picture you and your partner having really great sex. When you do this, you're going to increase the level of dopamine in your brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that signals to our brain that something feels good, it's pleasurable, and it plays a huge role in motivation. There's a really fascinating study that was done with dopamine levels and gambling. So you would think the moment that you win free money would be the most pleasurable thing for your brain, right? Like, what's more pleasurable than free money? But researchers actually found that dopamine levels were highest when somebody was pulling, pulling the slot on a slot machine. So in other words, the anticipation of pleasure was actually more enjoyable for the brain than the experience of pleasure itself. So if you want to get your brain fired up and excited about having sex with your partner, visualize yourself having really great sex with them. Now, the other great thing about this hack is that it forces you to think about what great sex really means to you. Like, get specific, get detailed. The more detailed your visualization can be, the better. Tap that follow button if you're looking for more data backed sex and relationship advice.
