Vanessa Marin (speaker) explains that resentment in relationships is an internal buildup caused by not expressing personal wants, needs, or enforcing boundaries—rather than solely the partner's bad behavior. While partners can act unfairly, resentment develops over time when someone fails to say "I don't like that" or set limits, allowing irritation to accumulate into stronger resentment.
