A short video (part four of a sex-education series) comparing silicone-based and water-based personal lubricants. It explains pros and cons: silicone lubes feel silkier and last longer (good for anal play) but can stain sheets and damage silicone toys; water-based lubes are safe with silicone toys and less staining but may feel tackier and require reapplication.

Welcome to part four of our series, the sex education that you wish you.
Got, where we give you the sex education you likely never got, but definitely deserve.
Today we're talking about the difference between the two most popular types of lube, silicone based and water based. Let's talk about silicone based lubes first. In my opinion, these lubes are the ones that feel the best against the skin. They're really nice and silky and slippery. They also last way longer than any other kind of lube and they are particularly good for any sort of anal play. Now, the downsides of silicone based lube is that they can stay your sheets and you cannot use them with silicone based toys because they can break down the silicone in the toy. A lot of toys these days are made out of silicone, so you definitely want to check your toy to be certain.
Now, water based.
Lubes are completely fine.
To use with silicone toys and they definitely are less likely to stain your sheets. However, they tend to leave a bit of a stickier or tackier residue or feeling on the skin and so you may find yourself needing to stop and reapply them more often to keep that good feeling.
Let us know in the comments what kind of lube you.
