It features a conversation between two speakers sharing humorous and personal anecdotes about misconceptions related to pregnancy and the importance of parental guidance during childhood curiosity.
In the fourth grade, before my parents had the talk with me, I had a sleepover with a friend who said she learned at school how people got pregnant, that if a man touches a woman's butt, she will get pregnant. Fast forward a couple months. Oh, I can see where this is going. My cousins came over to my house and my little boy cousin that was probably five at the time accidentally touched my butt. And I, no joke, thought I was pregnant for about four months in the fourth grade.
Four months.
I want to emphasize the importance of parents talking to their children when they start to get curious and not when they hit puberty.
Oh, my God. God, four months is such a long time for a kid to think you're pregnant.
Man, that's scary. And you probably felt totally alone. I mean, obviously you didn't say anything to anyone because if you had said something, you would have found out immediately that 0% chance you're pregnant.
