Verena Hoffmann shows unconventional focus methods for people who can't sit still: sitting on the floor, doodling, fidgeting, blowing bubbles. These techniques channel excess energy and help you stay present when traditional focus strategies fail.

Sitting still, breathe, focus— that never really worked for you, huh? For me neither. That's why I'm sitting on the floor, because when I'm on the floor, I can always be a little bit in motion. I coach unconventional minds, and unconventional minds deserve unconventional methods. I guess you know that, like, your brain is full of ideas So much going on, but there's this one thing that is really important and you kind of keep procrastinating around it over and over again. But still, you deliver, it works, you get applause, and then there's this voice in your head saying, you're not enough, you're just not good enough. Um, but what would become possible if this voice wouldn't be there? Everyone else kind of seems to have a system to work things out, and I guess you tried those systems and found, yeah, they work, but not for you. I know that one too. Because your brain maybe ticks a little bit differently, and therefore you deserve some different methods. You deserve your own system. And I'm wondering, what do you need to thrive? What could be a system that works for you? Do you like doodling or fidgeting, like always needing something in your hands? I personally think doodling is a great tool to just set off some excess energy or to maybe just let go a little bit while you're talking. While you're thinking about something. So I include doodling, blowing bubbles, whatever helps you, whatever gives you something to fidget, to kind of keep you in the moment, whatever keeps you with me in the session. So it's welcome, it's fine. Or it's maybe just sitting on the floor so you have a chance to always change your position a little bit and set yourself in motion, because often if our body is in motion, our mind can get in motion too and think into different directions. When you take a moment listening to all of this, what do you notice right now? Does it sound familiar? Does it sound like kind of a coaching that could work for you because it follows your system? And what would become possible if you give yourself permission to work with your unconventional mind? And not against it. Curious to find that out? Me too!
