Living in a motorhome in winter means dealing with brutal wind and rain that keeps you awake, frozen water pipes and dead batteries, and almost nowhere to park because campsites close and grass turns to mud that swallows your rig.
Chapters
3 of the worst things about living in a motorhome during the winter. The first one is the weather. You've got strong winds, you've got lots of rain, and I find struggling to sleep sometimes is quite challenging. Earplugs definitely, definitely helps. Second thing is the cold. Pipes freeze, your batteries run down much quicker, and it can be quite draining being that cold all the time. Big fluffy blanket really helps. And the third thing that's challenging about the winter is that you can't park so many places. Loads of the campsites are shut, And if you have any grass park-up areas, you don't want to be on them in a motorhome because you will sink. Mud mats are essential, but in the winter most of those areas are shut anyway, so your parking options are more limited. However, there are lots of fun things about being in a motorhome in the winter, and I will share those with you very soon.
