7 years ago, I quit my job as an air traffic controller to go traveling full-time, which sounds reckless and idyllic, but trust me, there was a lot of pre-planning and thought before I actually pulled that trigger and left. So here are some of the things that I did. The first was I got really clear on my budget, and I've done other reels which can help walk you through how I did that. The second thing I did was got really clear on the things that I needed to buy or get before I quit my job. So I actually worked a couple of extra months before I I left work in order to have that income to upgrade systems and get kit and stuff before I went. And the third thing that I did was I figured out what I needed as a backup emergency fund, roughly around 6 months' worth of expenses, so that if I needed them, or if something happened and I needed to repair the van or fly home or whatever, I had the money to do that. If you want some more tips, you'll find them in the caption. Hope that helps.
