Want to live in a van full-time? Here's how to figure out how much money you need. Before I started living in a van full-time, worrying about the budget and how much money I needed was one of my biggest concerns. Now obviously everyone is different, so I can't give you an exact number, but here's the things to think about. Firstly, your non-changeables. These are the things that will be the same every single month, so things like any insurance you pay, any healthcare— those are the things that will be the same no matter what. Number 2, monthly changeables. Things like campsites, food, Food, fuel— these will vary based on how much you travel, the kind of traveling you're doing, where you're traveling, what country you're in, but you know they're going to come up every single month. Then you've got yearly one-off expenses, things like MOT, habitation checks, vehicle maintenance, the things that actually keep your home on wheels going. Take a rough estimate of the cost for the last couple of years, split it into 12, and then you know roughly what to budget from every month. Those 2 categories will give you a rough monthly budget to aim for, whether you're hoping to work from the road, living off a pension, or you've got some savings. I've got 2 other things to think about. I'll put those down in the notes, and if you this helpful, follow for more.
