Last week we took our motorhome for its MOT and annual service. We picked it up from the service centre when it was all finished and passed, we took it back to the storage unit, and then we started preparing for our next trip away. You can imagine our shock and surprise when we discovered that there was no engine oil inside. Nada. Zip. They'd obviously emptied it to do the service and had forgotten to replace it, which just underlines the importance of doing a pre-trip checklist Before you go on certainly any long drive, but even if you've left your van for a while, it's really worth working through a checklist and making sure that everything is covered and your van is safe to drive. Now, we don't know what damage has been done to the engine in those 20 miles that we drove it without any engine oil in it. I dread to think, but it definitely— we won't be making that mistake again in the future of just assuming that the service centre has fixed it all and put it all away. If you'd like to get a free pre-trip checklist, try saying that 3 times really quick, the link is below in the notes for you. As always, safe travels. I'll see you on the next video. Bye.
