So BBC Radio 4 have just contacted me for a quote or an opinion on this article, and basically North Yorkshire have banned motorhomes and campervans from staying overnight near some of the main tourist spots, and particularly along the seafront near places like Scarborough. It is happening all over the UK where towns and places are overrun by hundreds of vans turning up causing problems with parking. The locals are saying that that's causing all sorts of litter and everything else. People are leaving their waste all over the place. What is the solution here? I mean, I personally know that motorhomers and campervanners aren't the only problem. I've seen plenty of people in cars throwing their fish and chip wrappers out of the window. But how do we tackle this? How do we help change the feelings and actually find decent places to stay if you don't want to stay on campsites that are miles away from everywhere and you have to stay for a minimum of 3 nights? Let me know your thoughts.
