A fabric specimen gets rubbed 500 times with a pressure gun to test for pilling. The worn sample is then compared to a reference chart and graded on a scale of 1 to 5, with higher grades meaning the fabric passed the customer's requirements.
This is an abrasion and peeling test tube. So what it's doing is it's using a pressure gun to basically go down and do this motion a million times. In this case, it's actually 500 times. It's written over here. Once it's gone through that machine, it comes over here to be graded. So over here, this is your reference.
1 to 4 is the worst.
Okay.
And then 4 to 5 is best. And we must choose which one we have.
That's what you just showed us. And that's why they give it a certain grade level. The customer is probably looking for a certain grade, and that's how they can confirm whether it meets it or not.
