A wool jacket made in India features hand-cut fabric patches and embroidered zig-zag details inspired by vintage Japanese postage stamps from the 1970s-80s, including Mount Fuji. Each piece combines traditional Indian textile craftsmanship with collaborative collage and hand embroidery using wool thread.
This is absolutely stunning. So this is all wool? This is all wool. This is 100% wool jacket with the viscose lining. The uniqueness about this garment, it's all the patches have been hand cut and it's been sewn by the hand machine. And we have even used the hand embroideries over to highlight the pieces.
That's maybe a little bit more than meets the eye because at first glance it looks like an all-over print, but in reality there's a lot of embroidery zigzag detailing going throughout. Could you explain?
The uniqueness about this jacket, it's all the vintage Japanese stamps. So we have taken a collection of vintage '70s-'80s stamps and we collaborate them and make a shirt out of it. In this beautiful jacket, you will find different kind of vintage Japanese stamp which features like Mount Fuji over it. And if we have done hand machine embroidery with the wool thread just to give it a more beautiful look. It's stunning.
