This highly skilled Japanese designer made this skirt in front of us. He started by taking a beautiful cowhide and laying the clothing pattern over it. So he used the rotary cutter to carefully cut the piece from the leather. He then moved over to the leather skiving machine. He used it to thin the leather where he's going to sew. He does this because the base leather is way too thick for his sewing machine to stitch. After using the heavy-duty machine, he brings the skirt back to the cutting table. He applies a special adhesive along the edges, and then he folds the flaps onto themselves and it out to give it a clean finish. After adding the zipper and trimming the threads, he has a finished skirt. Follow if you're interested in more videos like this.
