Let me take you on a tour of a premium handbag factory. This is the leather room and this place smells insane. There was over 300 different types of leather in there. They lay down the cowhide on this laser cutting machine and it cuts out according to the pattern that was digitized. In this video, it's cutting panels for a bag, but sometimes parts need to be cut by stamp with a mold. That's done over here. And sometimes it's gotta be done the traditional way by hand. After all of the pieces have been cut, they need to be prepped for sewing. This skiving machine thins the edges of the leather so that they're thin enough to sew together. This machine creates grooves along the sides of straps and is also used for belts. They get the trimmings from this room to sew the bags together. Hardware and leather is hammered together, and after sewing, we get a finished bag. If you want to get the details of the factory used in this video, it is all on my Patreon. Link is in bio.
