Fisher 999 shows off four recent pickups: a white John Elliott Mercer tee with extended back fit and side slit, a Palace tee with silver cylinder logo, a black Nike Air Max 1 Patch with interchangeable system, and the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 Volcano from 2013, which he calls the best Gel-Lyte 5 ever.
YouTube, what is good? Guys, I am so sorry I haven't been uploading very frequently. I did put out the Chicago 1s video last week, but I wish I could push more content. I'm just stuck in exams right now. I will be pushing a lot of content this summer though. If you do want to see a video I featured in yesterday, I'll leave a link in the description to the live chat I did with Necessary Kicks, Shoe Manati, JKH Kicks, and a bunch of other YouTube sneakerheads that came through. But in that video, I said that the first person to guess the name of this shoe right here would get a shout out in my next video. And within 30 seconds of me saying that on a live chat, Lace Avenue hit Necessary Kicks Twitter with the answer, the Woax Asics Gel-Lyte 3 Curvata. So shout out to you, Lace Avenue, for having some good runner knowledge on some of the best Asics to ever release, in my opinion. So without further ado, let's get into the pickups. Getting into the first pickups, as you can see behind me, I have this, uh, John Elliott Co. Mercer Tee in white. I didn't particularly want the color white, but I saw it locally deadstock for way under retail. So I definitely jumped on it. What's really awesome about the Mercer Tee is it has the extended fit at the back. It's shorter in the front. It has a slit on the side. Uh, it's made in the USA. It's really high quality cotton and it's essentially made for littering. That's its purpose. So for those of you who are wondering, oh, this is just a plain white t-shirt. Well, there you go. I'll definitely be featuring this in a fit soon. The other t-shirt behind me is this Palace tee I picked up just today. It has this cool little design at the front here, this sort of silver and white cylinder with the Palace logo. And at the back it has this really, really dope shades of green Palace logo with like that same cylinder design. I'll definitely try to feature this in a fit as well, and I'll be getting plenty of wear out of both those t-shirts this summer. Moving into my next pickup. The shoes, of course, I always pick up shoes. Uh, the Nike Air Max 1 Patch in the black colorway. In my last pickup video, and I'll leave a link right here, I showed you guys the steel green and sand patches, and I said I was looking for the black pair and I did manage to find them locally for reasonably close to retail. I think I paid like $20, $30 over retail, but I was okay with it because, uh, I was really trying to get these. There's not much to say about these. They're all black. They have the canvas upper and they have the USA flag on the insole. But what's really awesome about like this new— the patches that Nike's been doing is they have this patch system on the inside and you essentially take these patches off the lid and you stick them onto the polyester parts of the shoe. So it's really, really dope. I'll definitely be getting a lot of wear out of those this summer. And let me know like what you guys want to see in the next fit. Like, do you want to see this t-shirt with those shoes or like, just let me know in general. So yeah, that's the Nike Air Max 1 Patch in black. Moving into my final pickup. These released in 2013 and the first Gel-Lyte 5 to retro. I bet a lot of you guys already know what I'm going to show you, but this is the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 Volcano. These shits are fire. They're so insane. I love these shoes. I mean, it's just such a well thought out shoe. There was a lot of thinking in the design, and this is by far the better days of Ronnie Fye. The burgundy, the red, the salmon, the navy, everything goes so well together. I think this shoe is the best Gel-Lyte 5 to ever release, and that's a bold statement. You guys can tell me whatever Gel-Lyte 5 you like better in the comments, be it the Da Vincis or whatever. I think this is like one of the best Asics I own after the Demole AX6, but these shoes are so, so awesome. I'm not going to get into a full review because there's plenty of them up on YouTube.
