A Portuguese denim factory requires 200 pieces minimum per style-wash combination. Different washes shrink differently, so stonewash and bleach versions of the same jean need separate patterns and processes, meaning you can't split one 200-piece order across multiple washes.

So very standard, what's your minimum order quantity here? Our minimum order quantity for productions is 200 pieces per SKU, per style reference wash. Many people or clients ask us, okay, I want to produce 200 pieces and split in different washes, let's say, and it's not possible. Why? Because we are very strict with the measures and the fit of each piece. And if I make the same pair of jeans and then I wash and make a stonewash or a bleach wash, the shrinkage will have an effect on the piece and the measures after washing will be different, so the fit will not be the same. So when I say 200 pieces, I mean per style, per wash, because the shrinkage is different, so the patterns are different, so the sewing is made separately and the wash is made separately. When we have all these phases of productions made separately, we must consider a different style.
