Why do brands fail? When you're building a brand, expecting that you're going to gain 50,000 followers right away and you're going to have a bunch of people buying into your brand and your clothes and all of that because you made the exact same hoodie as someone else, or because you're doing what's on trend, is a really poor expectation. That's never going to work. What's actually going to work is building a story, which takes years and years and years, and building a community and an audience step by step, and making great clothes over time, not rushing to make great clothes right away. Your goal should always be to improve from drop to drop. But naturally, as your quantities increase, you're going to be able to customize more, get better quality products, and understand your customers better as well. I think it's really important to recognize that it's a long-term game, and people who are short-term thinkers are the ones who inevitably fail.
