A short conversational excerpt from a YouTube video by Will Humphreys about building trust with remote team members and virtual assistants. The speakers emphasize mindset for delegation, normalizing fear when scaling, and recommend visual/voice communication tools (notably the Marco Polo app) to humanize remote assistants and accelerate trust-building.
So it's. It's a really cool thing to think about how regardless when it comes to delegation, that mindset, you know, really keeping it as like, no, you can. You can totally build a family, connected culture and not have someone physically be in the room.
Yeah. I love that you brought the Marco Polo app up because that's another thing I think that is really important to build whenever you're bringing on a VA for the first time to help. To help build the trust. Not that they're earning the trust, but it just helps is having that communication and having that visual, the visual of seeing your va and it makes you look at them and see that they're a human. And it just does something, I feel like in your brain instead of just them being on the other side of the world or even if they weren't in the same state, virtually, whatever that may be, trust.
But then.
Hearing, hearing their voice, getting to have these check ins daily. I love it. That. I mean, so communication building, that helps. Building and having that trust each easier without having to be like, ooh, in the very beginning when you're a little bit nervous. So, yeah, the Marco Polo app's awesome, you guys.
I think it's normal to have that fear. I think that's great that you said that because, you know, it's not a reflection of you not trusting. It's an indication that you're doing something great. If it's not scary, we're not growing. If it's not hard, it's not worth it. So as people are going through these steps of development, it's so nice to hear that, like, yeah, you're gonna be scared. It doesn't mean you're gonna miss something up. It's just what you choose to do with that will determine your success. It.
