Short excerpt from a YouTube video by Will Humphreys arguing that addressing legitimate professional problems requires creativity and a clear sense of purpose; with the right mindset and shared passion the profession can weather upcoming challenges.

We do have these legitimate problems that have to be addressed, and we have to be creative about how we address them. Really talking about the purpose of why we're doing it, to get the mindset right. Because if we don't have that mindset and a strong purpose, we're not going to weather the storms that are coming ahead. As a profession, it's kind of rooted in a similar place. Even though there's a flavor that's different for each of us, it's all rooted and we're all driven by the same passion. We don't want to let that go just because there's some challenges to solve which we can figure out.
