This YouTube video (created and uploaded by Will Humphreys) features a conversational interview about integrating virtual assistants (VAs) into daily work. In this excerpt a speaker contrasts in-person meetings and quick chat check-ins, saying their VA ‘‘feels like she’s here’’ and ‘‘could be in the next room,’’ emphasizing a close, team-like relationship despite physical distance.

Then are the meetings that we have in person. Because sometimes I do want to see my VA and just have a conversation sort of like this. Other times it's just a quick check ins and everything goes through our chat.
Very cool.
I feel like she's here. I mean, she could be on the next room for all I know. Haven't ever felt the distance, if you want to see it that way.
Yeah. I think it's how people choose to work with both AI and VAs if, like, if they bring them into their world, especially the human element of VA is like, if people. I've seen this where if they treat their team, if they treat them like human beings and not like something that's outsourced overseas, they become just as part of the team as anyone else.
