Will Humphreys says don't hire a virtual assistant unless you have time and systems in place. Start by hiring American staff first, train them well, then move to overseas assistants through specialized companies. Rushing to hire a Filipino VA without experience onboarding people usually backfires.

Is hiring a virtual assistant good for everybody? No, absolutely not. What I tell people is that if you're a healthcare business owner and you don't know how to even bring on an American because you have zero time, zero systems or processes, do not hire someone overseas. It's not a magic button that you push that immediately frees you up. However, if you have successfully hired and trained even a couple of American employees, you're ready. You just need the right partner. There's lots of virtual assistant companies out there. Mine is the only one that is doing it the way that we're doing it for healthcare companies. So as you work with a company that can help you onboard and really understand how to work with your Filipino or your virtual assistant from whatever country, that's where you can find success and truly start freeing yourself up, improving your patient experience while you're saving money and bringing a family out of poverty.
