The #1 phrase that is KILLING physical therapy

Will Humphreys argues that "your license is your livelihood" traps physical therapists in fear-based thinking that blocks innovation. He says reframe your license as an opportunity, not a threat to protect, and adopt a growth mindset instead of playing defense.

In this video, I'm going to review.
The one deadly phrase that all of us need to unlearn in order to.
Change the mindset of our industry. Welcome to the profitable pt.
I'm Will Humphries here helping you increase.
Your income, impact and freedom.
And this is a phrase that I.
Myself have been guilty of saying numerous times.
And I want to acknowledge the many wonderful men and women who say it because it comes from a good place. We're trying to protect physical therapists from.
Being casual and and or greedy so that it doesn't destroy their career. But this phrase is your license, is your livelihood. How many times have we heard that phrase starting in physical therapy school?
The problem with this phrase is that first of all, it puts us in.
A fear based mindset.
It constantly keeps us on our heels.
Of the unknown dangers of the future.
And as a result of that, we can't discover what's possible if we're living.
In fear as well.
I'd like to challenge the notion that our license is our livelihood.
There are literally billions of human beings.
On this earth who provide for their families who aren't physical therapists. So what I want to change in.
Our industry is that phrase into our.
License is our opportunity.
Our license is our opportunity. We work so hard to become therapists or any other medical professional and if.
We recognize it as our future, our hope, we still protect it. We still guard it from the casual.
Documentation, we still guard it from the greediness that we recognize that it's a precious gift that gives us the ability to win.
In sports, there's a big distinction in.
The mindset differential between individuals who want to come in first place because they're afraid to lose versus those who want to win.
That type of mindset generates within us.
An energy and an intention that produces.
The outcome that we want.
Ultimately, I believe that the reason our industry is in the shape that it's in is because we think in that way of fear. Our licenses, our livelihood, constantly puts us on our heels. Again, we are better than that. Let's remember that we should be leading health care. We shouldn't be on the back end of it. With all this confusion and commoditization, we should be charging forward, making healthcare proactive and not reactive. Guys, if you like this video, please click like and subscribe.
